L’IUT Lyon 1 Takes Part in Erasmus + « KNOWinFOOD » Programme

The IUT Lyon 1 has been selected as a partner in the Erasmus + Knowledge Triangle for Food Innovation Project by KNOWinFOOD. The project will be launched at IUT Lyon 1, site of Bourg-en-Bresse from 24 to 26 October 2016

The Department of Génie biologique of the Bourg-en-Bresse site of IUT Lyon 1 is one of the initiators of this project in person of Pascal Dupeux, teacher of the department. On Monday morning, a group of sixteen teachers from the Food Technology University of Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Debrecen University (Hungary) and Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Romania) and members of Supremia ( Romania) will be hosted by Aron GABOR, deputy director, responsible for the site. The solemn launch will take place on the same day in the presence of Christophe Viton, director of IUT Lyon 1.

This cooperative project will focus on food innovation by exploiting tradition with a view to sustainable development.

It will take place over a period of two and a half years and will involve in particular teacher and student mobility in Sibiu, Debrecen and Plovdiv.

The Department of Génie Biologique will be responsible for the internal audit of the project throughout the period and will also participate in the development of educational content, its implementation on a dedicated platform and the various training sessions for teachers and for students.
